SEATTLE – June 20, 2019 Seattle Business magazine celebrated its 30th annual 100 Best Companies to
Work For at an awards dinner on June 20, 2019, at the Washington State Convention Center. Companies made the list based on the scores of confidential surveys that asked employees to report on 10 categories: corporate culture, executive leadership, responsibility and decision-making, benefits, workplace environment, communication, training and education, hiring and retention, performance standards and rewards and recognition. The highest scores earned by companies across all 10 categories determined who made the list.
Seattle Business magazine hosted nearly 1,000 attendees at the gala. King5’s Take5 producer and cohost, Chris Cashman, served as master of ceremonies.
Companies were honored in four categories – small, midsize, large and headquartered outside Washington. The program was by supported by Presenting Sponsor AristaPoint, Signature Sponsors UnitedHealthcare, WGU Washington, Industrious, and Supporting Sponsor Commute Seattle.
“A common theme across all these successful companies is transparent, communicative leadership and responsiveness to employee concerns,” said Seattle Business magazine Editor in Chief Rob Smith. “A positive company culture drives innovation and profit, boosts productivity, reduces turnover and creates employee enthusiasm.”
